Loose Newsprint shall consist of loose or bundled newspapers.
Baled NewsPrint
Baled NewsPrint shall consist of old sorted newspapers. May not include bundles or twine. small amounts of Kraft bags are acceptable. Bales shall be compressed into secure uniform bundles, not to exceed 72" in any dimension any with a minimum weight of 1,000 lbs., Bale ties may be wire, strapping or appropriate bale cordage. (unless otherwise declared by individual buyers)
Co~Mingled #100 ~ Aluminum & Steel Cans, Glass
Co-Mingled #100 shall consist of materials derived from curbside collection and include: aluminum cans, steel cans and glass bottles.
Co~Mingled #200 ~ Aluminum & Steel Cans, Glass & PET
Co-Mingled #200 shall consist of materials derived from curbside collection and include: aluminum cans, steel cans, glass bottles and PET softdrink bottles.
Co~Mingled #300 ~ Aluminum & Steel Cans, Glass & Mixed Rigid Plastics
Co-Mingled #300 shall consist of materials derived from curbside collection and include: aluminum cans, steel cans, glass bottles, and Mixed Rigid Plastic materials.
Co~Mingled #400 ~ SingleStream Minus Glass
Single Stream Minus Glass (Co-Mingled #400) shall consist of materials derived from curbside collection and include: newsprint, aluminum cans, steel cans, and Mixed Rigid Plastic materials but may not include glass.
Co~Mingled #500 ~ SingleStream with Glass
Single Stream with Glass (Co-Mingled #500) shall consist of materials derived from curbside collection and include: newsprint, aluminum cans, steel cans, and Mixed Rigid Plastic material.
Co~Mingled #600 ~ Containers minus Glass
Co-Mingled #600 shall consist of materials derived from curbside collection and include: aluminum cans, steel cans, and Mixed Rigid Plastic materials but does not include paper or glass.
Aluminum Beverage Cans (loose)
Loose Aluminum Beverage Cans shall consist of loose whole or flattened aluminum beverage cans, free from excessive dirt, liquid or other foreign materials.Equivalent to ISRI code TALAP or former code TALC.
Aluminum Beverage Cans (densified)
Densified Aluminum Beverage Cans shall consist of magnetically separated Used Beverage Cans that have been compressed into bales.Baled densities must be a minimum of 14 LBS. per cubic foot .Bale dimensions can range from 24" to 40" x 30" to 52" x 40" to 84"ISRI code TALDON shall be included in this grade
Steel Food Cans (loose)
Loose Steel Can Scrap shall consist of assorted flattened or whole steel cans. This material is typically generated from food cans from municipal recycling programs. May contain Bi-Metal (aluminum/steel) beverage cans. CAUTION May not contain aerosol cans.
Steel Food Cans (densified)
Densified Steel Can Scrap shall consist of compressed assorted flattened or whole steel cans with a minimum weight density of 75 lb./cubic foot. This material is typically generated from food cans from municipal recycling programs. May contain Bi-Metal (aluminum/steel) beverage cans. CAUTION May not contain aerosol cans.
Mixed Scrap Container Glass
Mixed Scrap Container Glass shall consist of mixed colors of broken or whole container glass, (free of non-container glass & foreign materials).
Sorted Scrap Glass ~ Clear
Sorted Clear Glass Scrap shall consist of clear, broken or whole container glass, (free of non-container glass, colored glass & foreign materials)
Sorted Scrap Glass ~ Green
Sorted Green Container Glass Scrap shall consist of green, broken or whole container glass, (free of non-container glass, & foreign materials) Clear & other colored glass to be sorted out.
Sorted Scrap Glass ~ Amber
Sorted Amber Glass Scrap shall consist of amber, broken or whole container glass, (free of non-container glass, & foreign materials) Clear & other colored glass to be sorted out.
Mixed Rigid Plastics
Mixed Rigid Plastics shall consist of post-consumer plastic bottles and containers, and may include plastics in the categories #1 PET, #2 HDPE, #3 VINYL, #4 LDPE, #5 PP, #6 PS and #7 Other. This grade may not contain flexible materials such as plastic bags.
Mixed PET #1 (loose)
Loose Mixed PET Scrap shall consist of assorted PET bottles or containers. May contain Post Consumer PET Soda Bottles of mixed colors.
Sorted PET #1 (clear loose)
Loose Clear PET Scrap shall consist of sorted clear PET bottles or containers. May contain Post Consumer Soda Bottles.
Sorted PET #1 (green loose)
Loose Sorted Green PET Scrap shall consist of sorted PET bottles or containers, sorted to a single color. May contain Post Consumer Soda Bottles.
Mixed PET Bottles (baled)
Baled Mixed PET Scrap shall consist of assorted PET bottles or containers compacted into secure bundles with a minimum weight density of 10 lb./cubic foot. May contain Post Consumer PET Soda Bottles of mixed colors.
Sorted PET Bottles (clear baled)
Baled Clear PET Scrap shall consist of sorted clear PET bottles or containers compacted into secure bundles with a minimum weight density of 10 lb./cubic foot. May contain clear Post Consumer PET Soda Bottles.
Sorted PET Bottles (green baled)
Baled Colored PET Scrap shall consist of sorted PET bottles or containers compacted into secure bundles with a minimum weight density of 10 lb./cubic foot. Must be sorted into a single color. May contain Post Consumer PET Soda Bottles of a single color.
HDPE #2 Scrap (loose)
HDPE #2 Loose Postconsumer Scrap (loose) shall consist of assorted High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) bottle and container scrap.
HDPE #2 Scrap (baled)
HDPE #2 Baled Postconsumer Scrap (baled) shall consist of assorted High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) bottle and container scrap compacted into secure bundles with a minimum weight density of 10 lb./cubic foot.
PVC #3 (loose)
PVC #3 Loose Scrap (loose) shall consist of assorted rigid Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) scrap.
PVC #3 (baled)
PVC #3 Baled Scrap (Baled) shall consist of assorted rigid Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) scrap compacted into secure bundles with a minimum weight density of 10 lb./cubic foot.
